One Without A Second - The Movie

OWAS Films presents "One Without A Second - The Movie", a feature film in english to be distributed globally in late 2013. This movie is based on Swami Vivekananda's work in America and England in the late 19th century, where he struggled against mighty odds to emerge triumphant in achieving the goal set by his spiritual mentor - Sri Ramakrishna. Currently, the film's script has been read and approved by several well-known personalities in the film and IT industry, and is at the fund-raising stage of its development. How You Can Help
The current thrust for the project is to network and find the "seed funding". This will be used to hire a renowned Director, hire a Line Producer to chalk out the Shooting Schedule based on the script, and accurately calculate the Production Budget (we have an estimated budget). In Phase2 of the project we will be looking for additional funding upto the calculated Production Budget.
You can help our networking by leading us to the right contacts. If you know someone, who can either look at us to partially/fully fund the seed money, or who can lead us to a corporate organization or individual who would be willing to meet us and consider us for funding.

Purpose of the Movie
As a race, we have reached a historic period in our existence - technology has simplified life and made the world smaller, the explosion of the internet has created new platforms for interaction which were previously unimaginable, and ruthless dictatorships are being overthrown by the power of youth and unity in the Middle East; The simple theme that is common in all these is Oneness, which was a central idea in Swami Vivekananda's teachings. He urged the youth to rise against obstacles and play a bigger role in unifying our world, but at present, wars, crime and hatred are dividing us further.
'Vivekananda - The Movie' aims to reinforce Swamiji's messages in today's world to inspire them to try tackling problems like poverty and fanaticism while promoting brotherhood, selflessness and peace. Ancient philosophy practiced in the forests and caves of India was brought out amongst the masses as the philosophy of Abhih - Courage, and Swami Vivekananda's power-packed messages empower the individual to stand up and say "I too can do it !!", thus unlocking the limitless potential in today's youth.

The film should satisfy the following criteria:
- UNIVERSALITY: It should appeal to all thoughtful people anywhere in the world, whether they are familiar with Indian spirituality, history and Swami Vivekananda or not.
- CLARITY: Philosophy that he taught and messages he gave should be made crystal clear to people.
- TIME TRANSCENDENCE : Should have a theme and story-telling approach that will be relevant to viewers now and in the future.
- AUTHENTICITY : Major milestones should be factually authentic. Any artistic freedom / extrapolations should be within bounds of reasonableness of facts.
- ORIGINALITY : The theme, events and episodes should not be copied from other biographical films.
- CREDIBILITY : It should be believable by the viewer, i.e. they should think and feel that the story, the hero and his message in the film are actually possible and were historical truths.
